Oh dear, we’ve got a serious dose of ‘tech love’ this morning after images of another glorious photoshoot popped up on our socials from the guys at Castle!
Today’s ‘to die for’ bit of tech is the stunningly crafted range of loudspeakers from their Windsor series. I mean… just look at them! Stunning in situ, one of those images where you just want to invite a few friends around, crack a few beers, sit down on that lovely sofa and put on the latest Drop The Beat Mix.
Signalling the return to the UK for the manufacturing of Castle Loudspeakers, the Windsor Series comes with the craftsmanship and quality that is self-evident and clearly marks the brand’s intention to restore and build upon the reputation of the brand for superlative quality loudspeakers.
The Windsor Series comprises the; Duke and Earl, each equipped with an 8” woofer and 6.5” woofer, respectively. Both drivers were purpose-developed together with a 28mm textile dome tweeter, to perform seamlessly in two classic bookshelf / monitor style cabinets.
The drive units have all been engineered from the ground up, using cast alloy components, yet retaining the essential character through the use of new woven Polypropylene cones and glass-fibre voice coils.
The cabinet work is, as you would expect from a product bearing the Castle name, first class. The hand-selected, book-matched pairs of veneers are sourced from the original suppliers to ensure continuity in the Castle legacy. Our dedicated ‘hand-finished’ team is trained to deliver the highest quality ‘furniture-grade’ finishes and build. No two pairs are the same!
The all-new Windsor Series is, without doubt, the best Castle series yet! It was specially commissioned and developed in a collaboration of Castle engineers and Karl-Heinz Fink’s ‘Fink Team’ engineers – one of the most successful loudspeaker design teams on the planet. Windsor Duke and Windsor Earl stand head and shoulders over its peer group in performance, build and finish – a fine quality loudspeaker in the classic tradition of classic British Hi-Fi engineering.
What’s not to like? Not much as far as we’re concerned. If you would like to request a demonstration, drop them a line via their website at: https://castle.uk.com/windsor/
