The self-titled ‘Play This’ combines intimate, lush vocals with a raw, driving synth, deep house sounds and a lovely “come on, play this song” sample which was the main hook for us coming into this tune. There are a few mixes but the one we like to play out is the ‘Original Extended’ mix as it has a nice intro before the vocals kick in.
Nobody But You is also worth a listen; a more relaxed counterpart on the EP. Written together with the songwriter and producer Jermaine Penniston, Nobody But You just has the vibe! P & Marque did an incredible job in the break, letting the listener feel like he’s sitting at an intimate bonfire, accompanied by analog synth and electric drum grooves!
