Nick: Hi, and thanks for featuring this mix on the site. This was done at a private house party, and I was going through my back catalogue and this is the result. A nice relentless beat intermixed with loads of different sounds that altogether make a lovely transient experience. It was great to jump into some older stuff and I think these still sound as good now as they did then. When I had finished and I listened back, it was satisfying to know that I am still sticking to my roots of the sound that I love to play out, and I still get excited, and I believe that transcends to the audience. If I’m excited then surely the collective must be.
DTB: You’re right about the tune selection, they do indeed sound fresh. Love the way you always slot a dirty acid track in your mixes.
Nick: Haha, yes I do love a bit of intense acid. I have to hold back sometimes as I could go full ACID.
DTB: Now, that could be interesting. I think you should go full ACID.
Nick: Oh, another thing, I remember playing some of these tunes with my eldest. He put a night on with his mates called ‘Barnhouse’ and I went b2b with him. Fantastic experience (proud) and I’ll never forget it. Memories. Anyway, once again, thanks for featuring my mix. Enjoy x
