Mixes: Exclusive Main Stage Mix from Nick Sheldon – 5th July 2024

DropTheBeat resident ‘ Nick Sheldon’ played at ‘Cheadle Rave on the Rec’ event this weekend just gone, alongside Radio 1 90’s legend ‘Dave Pearce’ as part of the Cheadle Carnival

We shared the event as one of our posts and it was a great success with over 1200 revellers dancing outside.

Here’s what Nick had to say:

Well, what a great day it was. I was checking the weather all week and to be honest, it really wasn’t looking that clever. Friday came around and you know what they say ‘The sun shines on the righteous’, and righteous I must be, as I always ‘TOUCH WOOD’ get fantastic weather on our Anthemia Boat Partays. Anyway, I drive over to the venue, which is quite local to me….which was nice. The town was rammed and there was a fair bit of traffic, so the organisers of the Cheadle Rave certainly did their job well and the town benefitting from it. Made my way down the main field and I could hear the funky basslines of Shelley who was playing before me. There was already a nice crowd forming (remember this was 17:30 and people still finishing work on a Friday). My set started at 18:15 until 19:30. The stage was a nice setup and the sound was decent. I decided to get my filth on and keep the crowd pumped before my dear old mate Daz Willot came on to play a superb old Shelleys set. Dave Pearce followed him and played his usual 90’s Dance Anthems which the Cheadle lot loved. The event finished at 22:45 as we were in the middle of a residential area. There was no trouble, people danced all day and night, and the organisers did a fantastic job of keeping everyone fed, watered, entertained and most of all safe. Can’t wait for the next instalment.
