Not so fast. Thanks to one Italian passenger on a Ryanair flight out of Ibiza to Milan Bergamo yesterday, the whole of Ibiza airport was closed down to all inbound and outbound flights following his claim that he was carrying a bomb!
The Majorca Daily Bulletin reports that The Guardia Civil arrested an Italian at Ibiza airport yesterday for a false bomb threat. The detainee, who was apparently intoxicated according to the Guardia Civil, claimed that he was carrying an explosive device shortly before his flight, Ryanair FR8335, took off for Bergamo! Spanish airport authority AENA confirmed the closure with flights diverted to Mallorca as a result…
