Cheshire based Producers Scott Rosser, Stephen Spencer and Paul Spencer formed ‘Dario G’ in the late 90’s and broke through with their massive hit Sunchyme which reached number two in the charts in 1997 and went on to sell over 600,000 copies. Originally formed as ‘Dario’ they had to change their name after a threat of legal action from a band already using the same name and so opted for ‘Dario G’. The ‘G’ being a nod to the well-liked Manager of Crewe Alexandra F.C. at the time, Dario Gradi.
Scott Rosser and Stephen Spencer left after the release of their first album Sunmachine in 1998 to pursue other interests leaving Paul Spencer to carry on the Dario G name releasing studio albums In Full Colour in 2001 and Hola in 2020.
Paul had written publicly about his battle with cancer in recent times and last year released a charity single, ‘Savour the Miracle of Life’ with the profits donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
