For many, Cream in Liverpool was the original definition of a superclub, forming a blueprint for club culture in the 90’s . Fast forward to 2024 and despite the clubs demolition in 2015 it seems those who originally took to the clubs many dancefloors are still eager to get a bit of its… well… dancefloor!
Earlier this month Cream announced a limited edition run of framed artwork; essentially, small parts of the old Cream dancefloor removed during demolition which they then sent off to a master craftsman to be cleaned, sanded, branded with the Cream logo and then framed, each with it’s own certificate of authenticity.
We’ve seen the finished article which looks pretty impressive to be fair, so you expect a fair bit of interest. However, what we – and clearly many others – were not prepared for, was for them to sell out in a matter of minutes… forty-three by all accounts!
Well done to all those who managed to get one. Not sure how much floor they took up but many will be hoping for another run… keep your eyes peeled HERE.
