For today’s featured track we’re taking you back… way back, to October 2010 and the release of Dennis Ferrer’s ‘The Red Room’ on the Objektivity label.
Like many of Dennis Ferrer’s tracks it’s a stone cold classic. There’s little doubt Ferrer is one of the best producer/song-writers of his generation dropping tracks across all genres and The Red Room was no different, coming hard on the heels of ‘Hey Hey’ the summer before, hailed by many as one of the best House tracks ever made!
The Red Room was received in much the same vein, and would go on to feature on Beatport’s Top 100 All Time Best Selling Tracks compilation! A hit then!
It’s got it all – Ferrer has a habit of taking you on a journey with each track as it builds, layer on layer. The heavy bongo, then the dark driving synth, and of course the unique vocal of Dawn Hulton.
